About Me

My kids are my passion!  We create memories together and they are each others best friends!  They don't always get along, but they always take care of another.

When I'm not taxiing them around or at their events; I spend my spare time gardening, snowboarding, building LEGO sets, or attending a live concert.

Family

My kids fulfill my life; providing me growth service opportunities.  In their younger years I volunteered for the Layton AYSO board and coached soccer for multiple years.  My life now has transformed into attending marching band and indoor drumline competitions; while also striving to be the best dance mom possible.

Now I am engaged with volunteering at multiple band competitions each year and catering lunches for my daughters' dance studio during their dance competitions.

My oldest daughter Liz just finished her freshman year at USU.  I'm very proud of her decision to serve our country, enlisting in the Navy.  She's now preparing to start her new journey in August at bootcamp.

Our Happy Places

About Me:

Early years

I spent the early years of my life in Layton close to extended family.  My grandparents Jay & Odessa Harris lived on Antelope Drive, with their dairy for over 30 years.

During my developmental years, I lived in the farming community of Tremonton, UT. There I developed a respect and appreciation for agriculture.

After moving to Tremonton, we continued to return to Layton weekly (or more) to spend time with family.  I always Layton envisioned myself returning to Layton to raise my family.

Early Adult Life

One of my distinct memories from working on a friend's farm is the task of moving sprinkler pipes.  Disconnecting and then lifting the pipes up to an angle & shaking it, to rid any potential varmints in the pipe. After which I'd carry the pipe forward approximately 40 feet connect to the lead pipe.

While attending school at Utah State University, I worked full-time while carrying a full class load.  I earned my bachelors degree in Public Health; with an emphasis in Industrial Hygiene.  I then started my career and a family.

My Career

I started my professional life as a safety & health intern at Staker Parson Companies. I learned a lot about culture, hard work, discipline, and the diverse sub-cultures of within our organization & in life.

Over my eighteen years there, I progressively developed in the organization.  Moving to a regional position and then a national position our global parent company CRH (the largest construction materials company in the world).

Today I live in Layton with my four children and test next-generation systems at Hill AFB, ensuring that rigorous standards are balanced within tight budgets.
